How to Use a Dynasty Trade Calculator
A practical four-step guide to league settings, trade packages, verdicts, balancing picks, and shareable dynasty comparisons.

A dynasty trade calculator works best as a repeatable process. First match the league rules, then enter the complete packages, read the size of the difference, and test a change that makes sense for both rosters. This approach is more useful than hunting for a favorable screenshot. Keep the same settings when comparing tools or sharing an offer. The model can organize a discussion quickly, but it cannot replace your judgment about championship windows, roster cuts, uncertain pick positions, or the price a particular manager is willing to pay.
1. Set the league before selecting players
Choose 1QB or Superflex, PPR level, tight end premium, and team count. If your league has unusual rules, note the limitations before treating a close result as decisive.
2. Add what each side receives
Enter all players and draft picks changing hands. Check the year and expected pick tier rather than adding an unspecified first. Make sure Team A and Team B describe the packages received, so the winner label is interpreted correctly.
3. Read the verdict, gap, and package adjustment
A small numerical edge can be less important than the roster impact. Review how the optional pieces tax changes a multi-player offer and consider the value of the player you would need to cut.
4. Test a balance and share the assumptions
Try a suggested pick or choose another reasonable asset. Revisit early and late pick scenarios, then copy the share link to preserve the settings and both packages for discussion.
Questions before you trade?
What is the first setting I should check?
Confirm 1QB versus Superflex before adding assets. It can materially change quarterback and pick comparisons.
Should I keep adjusting until the calculator says Even?
No. A perfectly tied model score is not required for a trade to help both teams. Seek a reasonable deal that fits the rosters.
What does a share link include?
The selected league settings, both asset packages, and package-adjustment choice so the comparison can be reproduced.
